Ansanm Pou Ayiti’s Nonprofit & NGO Summit, focused on discussing and collaborating on solutions to the challenges nonprofits and NGOs face in Haiti, will be held from October 19th to 21st at the Karibe Hotel in Port au Prince, Haiti. The purpose of the summit is to equip and empower attendees to better identify and execute on concrete, actionable solutions to the challenges they face as nonprofits and NGOs operating in Haiti, from conception of the enterprise, to getting the venture licensed, to assessing and resolving current risks or debilitating factors in their business models.
The summit also aims to bridge the gap between the Haitian government and aid organizations working in Haiti. Ministers and representatives from relevant government agencies will attend the summit and facilitate the processes mentioned above, with an eye toward opening the lines of communication between the government and these organizations, while identifying shared areas of concern, fostering transparency, and providing a forum for these NGOs to directly articulate their struggles in the NGO and nonprofit space in Haiti.
With an action-packed agenda hosting speakers and attendees ranging from government officials to prominent philanthropists, as well as community activists and Haitians actually benefiting from the services NGOs provide, this summit promises to be a unique opportunity for knowledge sharing, networking and problem-solving for all attendees.
